In 1998, the basketball team was the 10th Region Runner-Up and in 2000, the 10th Region Champions titles. In 1999, Jeff and the baseball team were the 10th Region Runner-Up’s. One of Jeff’s favorite memories from BBHS was getting to lead the basketball team onto the floor of Rupp Arena in the Sweet 16 in 2000. Jeff was also a proud member of the Yellow Bat club!
After graduating from BBHS, Jeff attended Cincinnati State and got a degree in Power Systems Engineering and started a family with his beautiful wife, Jen. She successfully grew programs; built, trained and managed staff, large volunteer teams and Board members, increased operating revenues as well as completed her MBA from NKU in
December 2018. In November 2022 Denise answered one more career call to join the interview process for DCCGH Center Children and Families. Denise began her most recent role as Executive Director for the DCCH Center on March 20, 2023.
Denise’s biggest personal accomplishments were marrying Dave Govan and raising their 2 children Haley Govan (Class of 21) and David Govan (Class of 22). Denise and her family along with 2 dogs Dasher and Griff live in Melbourne behind her parents Pearl and Neil Leonard. In her free time, she hosts senior Sunday meals and pool days for parents and
Dave’s parents!
