Maggie Finn -2020

A HUGE Congratulations to Maggie! She has wanted to be a Dentist since the 3rd grade. She took the DAT in June  and scored 26 of 30. Maggie has been accepted to the University of Kentucky Dental School and will start this fall. Way to go, Maggie! We are so proud of you!! #MustangPride #MustangPride💚🤍

Jeff Clark – 2000

As basketball season begins, we are happy to announce our Alumni Spotlight on the legendary Jeff Clark, Class of 2000. During Jeff’s time as a Mustang, he was an avid athlete who excelled in basketball and baseball. Jeff was part of major team accomplishments during his Mustangs career. In 1998, the basketball team was the 10th Region Runner-Up and in 2000, the 10th Region Champions titles. In 1999, Jeff and the baseball team were the 10th Region Runner-Up’s. One of Jeff’s favorite memories from BBHS was getting to lead the basketball team onto the floor of Rupp Arena in the Sweet 16 in 2000. Jeff was also a proud member of the Yellow Bat club! 

After graduating from BBHS, Jeff attended Cincinnati State and got a degree in Power Systems Engineering and started a family with his beautiful wife, Jen.  Jeff and Jen have two sons who follow in their fathers athletic footsteps, Caleb and Austin. Today, Jeff works at Duke Energy as a Systems Control Technician in the natural gas department and volunteers his time to coaching basketball at St. Mary’s.

Stephanie Keller Trabel – 2001
 
Stephanie attended Antonelli College where she received her degree in Photography. She met her husband, Brant, and they were married in 2011. They have 3 girls, Dylan (10), Marlowe (9), and Rowen (7), who attend Blessed Sacrament School in Ft. Mitchell. 
Today you can find her coaching her girls on the soccer field and volunteering her photography for the BSS yearbook and school events. Stephanie started Steph Keller Photography in 2006 and has photographed over 400 weddings. Weddings are her passion and she loves being able to capture her couple’s best day of their lives. Stephanie was voted Best Wedding Photographer in Cincinnati in 2022 and 2023 by CityBeat Magazine. She also is the feature photographer for Alexandria Magazine and photographs all the families for the magazine covers. “I love showing my girls that they can be anything they want to be if they put in the work. They can be their own boss, and create a life they always dreamed of! My youngest girl, Rowen, has already said that she wants to come photograph a wedding with me…and I cannot WAIT for that day to come!”

Denise Leonard Govan – 1991

After graduating from BBHS Denise matriculated to NKU and received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Criminology. She also continued her dance career at Manyet Dance until 1996 when she opened her own studio, Dance Magic in Bellevue, KY. Denise served over 90 children and adults from the river cities for 2 years before hanging up her dance shoes to begin a career in non-profit. 

She joined Brighton Center in 1999 because she “always knew that she wanted to help people” and, specifically, had always been attracted to serving “underdog” children and families in poverty. After 10 years, Denise was recruited to Life Learning Center in 2009 to be the Executive Director. She successfully grew programs; built, trained and managed staff, large volunteer teams and Board members, increased operating revenues as well as completed her MBA from NKU in
December 2018. In November 2022 Denise answered one more career call to join the interview process for DCCGH Center Children and Families. Denise began her most recent role as Executive Director for the DCCH Center on March 20, 2023.

Denise’s biggest personal accomplishments were marrying Dave Govan and raising their 2 children Haley Govan (Class of 21) and David Govan (Class of 22). Denise and her family along with 2 dogs Dasher and Griff live in Melbourne behind her parents Pearl and Neil Leonard. In her free time, she hosts senior Sunday meals and pool days for parents and
Dave’s parents!

Denise’s 2 fondest memories from BBHS were being selected as class clown and landing one of the leads in the class play -Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat! Proud to be a Mustang!!!

Mike Enzweiler – 1967

Mike graduated with a BFA from NKU then served in the US Army Reserves (Medical Unit) 1969-75. After teaching art at BBHS (1974-79) he accepted a position at the Cincinnati Art Museum as a curatorial assistant in the Print, Drawing and Photograph Department. He then servedas Director of the Enzweiler Building Institute for 26 years. Following a five year stint at The Messenger Newspaper of the Diocese of Covington he entered retirement and began working at St.
Joseph Camp Springs Pre-K Program where he still works today. One of his proudest accomplishments was opening the BBHS Art Gallery in 2017 and remains its Director today. He continues to create art and has works in four different
galleries and has shown his artwork regionally. Mike is married to Amy Schwarz Enzweiler, BBHS Class of 1976, who has been the “best find of his life.”

Frank Cetrulo – 2016 – Salutatorian – Captain of Football Team 2014 & 2015

Graduated from University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, May 2021.  After completing the Air Force ROTC Program at UT, was Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, May 2021.  Completed Air Force Initial Flight Training in Pueblo, CO in April 2022.  Began Air Force Undergraduate Pilot Training Program at Laughlin Air Force Base, Del Rio TX, May 2022.  Currently training in the USAF T6 Texan Aircraft.

Maggie Verst – 2017 – Valedictorian – Recognized as one of 15 national Bryan Cameron Impact Scholars, awarded for their eagerness to directly impact their communities and world at large.

Graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, May 2021.  After graduation from OSU, accepted a 2-year graduate teaching fellowship from the University of Notre Dame.  Maggie participants in the Alliance for Catholic Education(ACE) fellowship serve in under-resourced Catholic schools while earning their M.Ed..  ACE provides an intensive service experience encompassing professional development, community life, and spiritual growth.  Maggie recently completed her second summer of study in South Bend, and is now in her second year of teaching Mathematics to 11th grade students at Tampa Catholic High School within the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

Her fellowship concludes at the end of this school year, and her new chapter awaits.

John Ridder  – 2016
Since graduating from BBHS in 2016, John obtained a bachelor’s degree in both Marketing and Business Management from the University of Kentucky. Currently, John is a substitute teacher while working on his Master’s degree. Over the past year and a half, he began coaching grade school basketball which led to my current role as JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant for BBHS Boys Basketball. Coaching has been an unbelievable experience and completely eye opening. The kids have made an impact on him more than they’ll ever know it. John recently began grad school at The University of the Cumberlands in their Master’s program. John is getting his Master’s in education to teach high school business. John looks forward to the future and impacting and influencing our youth.

Jessica Seiter Smith – 2001

Jessica attended the University of Kentucky/BCTC where she graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She met her husband, Jeff, and were married in 2009. They have 4 children that attend St. Mary in Alexandria- Kylie(12), Leo(10), Larkin(8), and Logan(4). In 2018 she was ready for a career change and made the leap to pursue her passion in Real Estate. She is starting her 5th year as a Realtor for Keller Williams and she is loving it! With the support of her amazing client base, she has been the top selling realtor in Campbell County in 2021 and 2022! She is a member of the Cultivating Legacy Campaign for St. Mary and tries to volunteer for as many parish events as possible. Their kids are heavily involved in sports so we will likely see her on a court or a field cheering them on! With 4 future Mustangs, Jessica is looking forward to continuing her involvement in the BBHS community!

Shelly Schultz Braun – 1989

Shelly attended Northern Kentucky University and has an Associates Degree in Office Administration.  Her and husband, Mike (class of 1988) were married in 1993.  They have 3 children who are also Bishop Brossart Alumni, Danielle(2013), Natalie(2017) & Matthew(2021).  Shelly recently “retired” from the Cincinnati Enquirer after a 32 year career.  She is excited for the next phase of her career, wherever that may be.  Shelly can be found at a BBHS sporting event, working the concession stand at the MAC, coordinating a Golf Ball Drop Festival or basketball tournament at St. Philip Parish.  Once a Mustang, always a Mustang!
